I have been super busy working on things for my classroom. Pictures are coming soon! We have also been working hard on the house... also, pictures to come. :-)

Super easy Peanut Butter Chocolate bars!
These are a big hit with the teachers and it's a super easy recipe! I brought this up to the campground for our teacher day up there and they were gobbled up. :-)
You will need:
2 packages of Better Crocker cookie mix
1 eggs
vegetable oil
water
1 bag of milk chocolate chips
A 9x13 takes two packages of the Betty Crocker cookie mix.
You mix it to the directions on the back... then spread it out into a 9x13 glass pan. You do not need to grease it. Flatten it with a spatula. Bake it in the oven at 375 for about 10 minutes, until it's done. After you take it out, while you're letting it cool a bit, dump a bag of milk chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and melt in the microwave for about a minute. Be sure to let the peanut butter bars cool long enough so that when you spread on the chocolate, the peanut butter cookie bar does peel up. When I pour on the chocolate, I try to spread it out so I don't have to do much spreading with the spatula. I put it in the fridge until I took it with me. SUPER EASY and a crowd pleaser, you can't go wrong with this one!
Craft Room Progress!
A big thank you to Will and my parents for helping so much. My dad helped Will and I put up the counter top and the four of us put together the big cabinet.
There is still a lot to do. I need to label things, hang the memo board and still organize more things... but I put a dent in it today. In the fabric bins, there are greeting cards all sorted out by category (thanks, Emily for all your help!). All of the plastic drawers have scrapbook things in them. The ceiling fan still needs to go up as well. The ribbon I have on dowels still need to be hung as well. I also ordered a chair that will be here in about a week. I have been looking for a rug, and I think I found one. It's still a work in progress, but it's coming along. I spent all day in there from 10am-9pm! Loving it!

Box Top container!
So, I saw a different idea on Pinterest for a Box Top container and wanted to make one for my classroom.
I had these that I had bought at Walmart awhile ago and hadn't used.
It even has a screw top lid. :-)
I made it look like this with some stickers and Mod Podge!
Cute classroom mirror!
I also saw this idea on Pinterest! I thought it was adorable! Mine is a little different than the one I saw, but this is my version of it.
I bought a magnetic mirror at the Dollar Tree...
...and polka dot looking stickers from the dollar section at Target...
...and created this!

Contain runaway dice for the classroom!
So I saw this idea on Pinterest and wanted to try it. We use dice for some of our math games and they always end up flying across the room... depending on the group. :-)
I bought a package of ten small containers at the Dollar Tree...
...and two packages of dice in the Target dollar section...
...and put the dice in the containers. It took me all of a minute and a half. I think these are going to work great and solve the dice flying problem. I think the kids are going to like using them too! :-) What a simple solution! Thank you Pinterest!
Polka Dot Binder Clips
To go along with my polka dot themed classroom this year, I thought fun binder clips would be a great addition. I bought this tape at Target.
Then I gathered some binder clips I had and some I bought at Big Lots for a dollar.
I used scissors to cut the pieces to size and lined them up along the edges. There was a little overlapping to match the pattern, but not much. I worked on this as I watched a movie Sunday night after our long week. I love how they came out. See...
Do you like them?
Family time
We had family come on Monday night and stayed here with us until we left on Friday to go see other family members. We got home fairly late Saturday night. Needless to say, we were tired. A lot of sun, food, driving, and entertaining. It was a great time with all of them! By the end of the week we had seen five of Will's siblings, a sister-in-law, Will's parents, two nieces, two nephews, two cousins, and my parents. As you might imagine, not a lot of work was done during that time.
Oil Rubbed Bronze spray painted door knob
We installed the door knob, hinges, and door stopper that we spray painted with oil rubbed bronze spray paint. Like I mentioned before, we found brass ones discounted and used the spray paint for the look we wanted. :-) Here's a couple pictures!
Crown Moulding in the bathroom closet
It's a little blurry in this picture, but here it is! That was also finished last Monday. This past Sunday Will finished the door frame, the base moulding and the inside door trim. It's coming along.
Fun with spray paint!
Last Monday before the stretch of family time happened, I spray painted some goodies for my craft room. :-) I found the teal color spray paint (that happens to match the bins perfectly) discounted to $1.49. What a deal! The long oblong basket I also got discounted to $2.99. :-) The pencil cups and paper sorter I already had from the dollar store and the picnic cutlery carrier my mom had given me years ago. I scuffed all of them with a metal brush, and primed and painted. This is how they turned out. :-)
What do you think? I love them!! :-)
